I checked in the first night and everything was fine, The second night I recieved a call froom the night auditor, he said my credit card hadnt gont thru for the 2nd night. Was abusive and rude, I told him i would take care of it in the morning.. which i did. He said ok, and then called me back at 4 am and was rude all over... I couldnt believe it. I hung up on him and when I spoke to the manager the next morning, he first tried to tell me it was someone from the outside agency.. blah blah blah total lie.... and then told me after some pressure it was the there night guy.. I would never stay there again,

12/06/2009The shuttle was every half hour, very convienent. the bathroom was the smallest i have seen in hotel r. stay here only to sleep and get to the airport early.

We picked the Clarion partly due to the included breakfast, which was just as we expected - fairly typical buffet. Not fancy, but certainly enough to eat. Wanted a change from the Sheraton, which cost more and did not have low cost breakfast. Mexican sit-down restaurant is about a half block away. Older property, similar to Best Western in smaller towns. Physical layout of building is a bit weird. Since it is on a slight hill the hallway is not level - it follows the slope of the hill. Small closets and bath are typical of older buildings but bed was comfortable and AC worked well. Comfortable and not noisy, despite being only a block from the airport. Quick free shuttle service from LGA. If you need a town car to take you somewhere they have one immediately available. About 20 minutes to Red Hook pier.

It took two calls and 45 minutes to get them to send a shuttle to LGA airport. The room is the smallest I've ever seen. The bathroom was filthy, with fecal matter from the previous occupant. The air conditioner was loud and didn't cool. The vending machines are dirty and broken. A staff member left a giant luggage cart in the hallway, blocking hallway access for a disabled guest. The continental breakfast started 45 minutes late 6:45am vs. 6:00am. The tongs for the danish appeared to have a buildup of several weeks of pastry bits...clearly it hadn't been washed or even wiped off in a long time. I've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the country, but this has to be the worst of all. I went by the front desk several times, and almost every time, no one was in sight. The staff was dismissive. This $* night stay was more like something you'd expect for $* night. The only redeeming value was free wireless internet, which I'm using to post this review.
