I was in NY with my friends and family for 5 nights in March. When I came down there was lovely weather and the front desk recommended going to the Hall of Science with my kids and to Flushing Meadow Park. We had a great time, it was very close to the hotel and easy to get back and forth. We had a very big room with two beds and was also able to fit my daughters pack and play with space to walk around. The food in the restaurant was very good, I had a wrap and my husband had steak the kids ate pizza. The prices were moderate and the service was great! We also had fun in the indoor pool, the kids loved it.

I was stuck in LGA because their was weather in Chicago so I could not fly out. I booked the Crowne Plaza LGA because I could see them from the bagage claim at the airport. The ouside of the hotel was beautiful it looks as if it is all glass and is u shape. When you walk into the hotel they have a beautiful marble lobby. You do not expect to see this type of hotel near an Airport. The staff was extremely friendly and they checked me into a quiet, clean room quickly. I had a stressful day traveling so I went to the bar to have some wine and unwind. The bar had a nice trendy look to it. The food at the bar was phenominal, I thought that I was dining in a fancy restaurant in Manhattan. My bed was very comfortable and I love the white bed spread because you can tell that it was clean. The desk was well lit and they had free wireless internet. That is a plus since I normally work from home. I responded to all my emails and had a conference call and no one even knew that I was not home.

The front desk at this hotel first informed us that we would be in a smoking room. We had booked a nonsmoking room with a king bed. When we refused the smoking room, they informed us that the only room available that was nonsmoking had a queen bed. This would have been fine if the room had been decent. The closet door did not close, there was only a shower, The room had a stench of disinfectant. I have no idea what they were trying to cover up. When we asked about the smell, they tried to tell us it was from new carpeting. There was no way that smell was from new carpeting. Miraculously enough, after two calls to travel website and an hour of time, they found us another room, nonsmoking with a king bed. just as booked; The only employee who seemed to care about our opinion at all was the head of housekeeping. She was the one sent to take care of the room problem. She offered us a free breakfast the next morning and made sure that the new room was okay. When we went to the desk to pick up room keys for the new room, the staff there informed us that only priority club; members were welcome at the free breakfast. The front desk staff were sarcastic, hateful people. There was not a restaurant open, the only option for dining was the bar. There is nowhere to eat withing walking distance. I would never stay at this hotel again.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza LGA when I flew in from FT. Lauderdale on business. I needed to go in to Manhattan, NY for a meeting but flew in late. I stayed the night in the hotel and the staff was very pleasant and the lobby of the hotel was very welcoming. I had a quick bite to eat at the bar and a cocktail and it is a nice quiet atmosphere. The next day the bellman called a cab for me and it brought me to my meeting destination and cam,e back to get back later in the evening. It was a great experience overall.
